Mystic Earth

All classes listed here are taught by Ron & Michelle Sutten, owners of Mystic Earth.  Classes will be scheduled after the minimum sign-up requirement is met.  For most classes, we like to have a minimum of 4 people signed up before we will schedule it. Herbalism 101

Cost: $25 per session ($50 total.  Includes curriculum and all materials for class projects)

Wicca 101

A complete course of Wiccan philosophy, magick and spellcasting for the solitary practitioner.

Cost: $150 for the 10 week series or $20 per class for pay-as-you-go

Wicca 101 is a series of ten classes that teach the foundations of Wicca and Paganism. Each class will provide you with a wealth of information and practice that is pertinent to your understanding of wicca. Here is the series outline:

Class one

Intro to Wicca:

The introduction is designed to give you a general definition of Wicca and paganism, both as a spiritual path and as a practical system of working with the natural elements of the universe to create change (magick). Many of the common terms used in Wicca are discussed as well as some of the popular misconceptions.

Class Two:

What is Wicca?

Faces of the Divine: Here we take a more in-depth look at modern Wicca and introduce a few more key definitions. In this class we also look at the archetypes of Divine Masculine and Feminine energies and how they are viewed in Wicca.

Class Three:

Metaphysics & Psychic Skills

Attuning yourself to the energies of the Universe and your own Higher Self is crucial for making progress on the path of Wicca. In this workshop you will learn some basic techniques for centering yourself and tuning in to your own inner voice. We will also discuss some of the basic concepts of modern metaphysics.

Class Four:

Magickal Tools & Altars:

In this workshop we will demonstrate the meaning and usage of such traditional Wiccan altar tools as the athame', pentacle, chalice, wand, cauldron, incense, and much more. You will also learn how to set up altars for specific purposes and intentions. As a bonus, we will craft an altar item of your choice.

Class Five:

Circles & Sabbats:

Learn about the Wheel of the Year, the 8 solar Sabbats, and the lunar Esbats in this interactive workshop. We will also demonstrate how to cast a circle for ritual and magickal work. This workshop is emphasizes the solitary practitioner and does not get into coven or group work.

Class Six

Magickal Herbalism:

Prepare to roll up your sleeves and get your hands into this one! You will learn the magickal properties of 13 different herbs and how to use them in ritual and spell casting, and the how-tos of blending loose incense resins. You will craft a magickal herb sachet and incense blend to take home.

Class Seven

Magickal Oils:

This is part two of the "Green Witchcraft workshop. In this class you will embark on a journey through the world of magickal aromatherapy. You will learn how to craft your own blends for use in ritual & magick. You will also craft a personal blend to take home!

Class Eight

Simple Spellcasting:

With the foundational information learned in the preceeding classes under your belt, you are now ready to put it into practice. This workshop focuses on how to structure different rituals and spells. You will learn basic spell casting tools such as the witches bottle, candle magick, knot magick and more. The workshop is geared toward the solitary practitioner.

Class Nine

Intro to Divination:

This workshop covers tarot, pendulums and the I-Ching as tools for divination and personal growth. An overview and demonstration for each mode will be covered.

Class Ten:

Graduation!

In this final class you will prepare and cast your own spell in circle. Mystic Earth will provide any guidance and advice, and you will do the casting... Congatulations!

Wicca 102

Deeper Magick for the Solitary Practitioner

Cost: $150 for the 10 week series or $20 per class for pay-as-you-go.

Wicca 102 is designed to take you further in your journey by introducing you to a deeper understanding of the building blocks of this physical plane… namely, the five elements.   Each class will embrace an elemental energy, introducing you to ideas, tools and techniques that are associated with that element.   You will learn how the elements influence your life, and how you can work with them in your magickal endeavors.  Two classes are designated for each element:

• Earth: In these classes you will learn techniques for grounding and protection, learn gemstone magick, and do spell work focusing on prosperity and abundance.
• Air: Here you will learn the attributes of the element Air, make your own magickal incense blends, and delve into the ancient Nordic divination technique of Runes.
• Fire: The focus of these classes is all about personal transformation and empowerment through the element of Fire.  You will learn powerful techniques for manifestation that will accentuate your spells and rituals!
• Water: Water is all about the emotions and relationships, and these classes focus just that by introducing you to love spells and attraction magick! Plus you will learn lots of techniques for developing your psychic abilities and intuition.
• Spirit: Our Wicca 102 series culminates with an in-depth study of Angels, karma the Evolution of Consciousness.  Learn the role of a Light-Worker and perform rituals for the awakening of humanity... so relevant for this dymanic age we live in!

Intro to Tarot

Cost: $15

Perhaps one of the best known oracles in the Western world, the Tarot is steeped with mysticism and magick. Based on the concepts of Universal Archetypes and Synchronicity, the tarot has an uncanny way of giving insight into situations. It allows you to glimpse the flow of energy as it progresses from the past into the present and then on to the future. In this intensive introductory workshop, professional tarot reader and intuitive counselor Ron Sutten will guide you on a journey of self discovery as you learn the basics of divination with the tarot. Covered in this workshop:

• The major and minor arcane – what they are and what they mean.

• Using the Tarot for divination

• Tarot spreads and how to use them

• Using the Tarot for personal growth and magick

Sensual Aromatherapy

Cost: $20

Looking for a way to bring some passion into your life? Come join us for a hands-on workshop that will wake up the kundalini in you! In this workshop, Michelle will teach you the art of crafting sensual blends using pure essential oils. You can use these blends in massage oils, or to make your own personal perfume. The cost of this workshop includes all materials. Each student will craft and take home their own massage oil creations.

Metaphysics & Cosmic Law

Cost: $12

Overview: Metaphysics could be defined as the science of inquiry into that which is beyond the realm of the physical. It is the study of the true nature of the universe and, more specifically, the purpose of life on earth. This workshop introduces you to the core concepts of mordern metaphysics and provides you with tools and exercises to help you attune to the working of Cosmic Laws.
